'50 Years: Back & Forth' & 'Object Correspondence' with Tanya Gill
Reimagining the Global Village
Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design
October - December 2021
Tanya Gill is a Chicago-based artist with whom I share an interest in precarious structures and a concern about climate change. We have held a conversation between our studios for a couple of years now, first through materials and objects we would send eachother to work with, and then through images we shared over the internet. The results are two artworks: '50 Years: Back & Forth', a video projection, and 'Object Correspondence', a wall installation, created for an exhibition called 'Reimagining the Global Village', curated by Nirmal Raja at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (Autumn 2021).
