Creekside
with Ground Collective
APT Gallery
November 2021

The pieces here are inspired by the neighbourhood called Creekside, in Deptford, London, and my time in residence and showing at APT Gallery with Ground Collective.  Ground Collective is a group of eight artists and one poet working together, led by Matthew Swift and including Sam Hodge, Joost Gerritsen, Madi Acharya-Baskerville, Mark Sowden, Ana Vicente, Tom Banks, Mike Sims and me. We spent a week working in the gallery in both 2020 and 2021 and then showed our work in an exhibition entitled 'Groundwork APT' in October 2021. My pieces, shown here, respond to the local area and incorporate discarded objects and fragments and videos taken of plants in a local wasteland turned nature reserve. (2020-2021)
